Beauty and the Beat

When I was 9 years old, mom took me and my friend, Trista to see the Go-Go's at the SDSU ampitheatre.

It was awesome.

It was also my first (and only) vicarious experience with marijuana.

Am I dork or what?

Don't answer that!

So in the spirit of the Go-Go's upcoming concert at the Luxor (thanks for the link, Mom!), which one was/is your favorite Go-Go?

Mine is Charlotte.
If you can name the eighth track on their debut album, I'll send you a signed coverflat of In Between Men.
Besitos,
Mary

I love the Go-Go's! Belinda's my fave. The face, the voice, the personality. And I love that she had some meat on her.

I can't remember the eighth track, but you're putting me in the mood for Vacation and Our Lips Are Sealed.

:) d

PS You're not a dork! I didn't have many *vicarious* experiences with it either.

You would never be a dork Mary!
I loved the Go-Go's too! I love your mom too!!!

My girlfriend Kathy (you know Kathy)and I once went to a Thomas Dolby concert...he is kind of like Moby of today. He also played with
Def Leppard..

Anyway..Kathy and I were in the audience and these "stoners" I don't know what you call them today...were blowing smoke as in Cheech and Chong Smoke in our faces.

Kathy being Italian told them to knock it off...they didn't..
silly kids...she grabbed them by their respective collars and hit them (can't put in print what she said).

Needless to say...they stopped "everything".

Dana---"vicarious"...ya..

I sooo wanted to be Belinda- and now I will have "we've got the beat" playing in my head for the rest of the day!

Did you happen to catch that unscheduled OFFICE episode last night? A repeat of Hindu Halloween- so funny!

Have a good day!
Alyson
